A unique schedule allows each student to work on their individual strengths and weaknesses four mornings a week through individual training in small groups.

As much "ball time" as possible for players of all age groups paired with as much game proximity as possible!
U11 to U13: technical executions and cognitive stimuli with high repetition and targeted technique feedback and coaching.
U13 and older: ongoing support for, and further development of, the technical foundation, individual and group tactics, position-specific content, and targeted athletic training.

In order to give talented youth from abroad and from Germany the opportunity to learn and train at DFI, a limited number of boarding spaces are available.

According to their age, boys are usually housed in pairs.

Just like at home, our laundry and cleaning team takes care to maintain a clean environment, both in the school and of the soccer equipment, in addition to keeping the rooms tidy - the boys only have to pick up after themselves.

24/7 support

From the welcome desk staff to the pedagogical supervisors, staff, trainers, and the boarding school director - the boys receive all-around support and advice on school and sports matters. Even with personal worries, homesickness, and other issues, the right person is always on hand.

Here, our young players are offered a wide variety of meals every day that are ideally suited to the needs of young competitive athletes.

DFI...

...is located in the B&O park, formerly military barracks. In the buildings, which were completely gutted and refurbished in 2011, there is virtually no evidence of the past. Today the buildings contain everything that supports well-being and offers a comfortable stay for boarders.

Directly under the roof is a 7 x 11-meter football court which is a permanent meeting point for students regardless of the weather. Just like the mini playground in the courtyard.

On each floor, there are lounges, living rooms, and common areas where youth can gather to watch TV, relax, learn, talk, play, and chill. These areas are differently designed to meet the specific needs of the athletes, offering them a retreat and space for relaxation from the intense training and concentrated work in school.

FAQ's - Boarding & School

Is the boarding school co-educational, or is the program exclusively for boys?

At this time, our boarding school program is designed for boys only. Due to legal requirements and the structure of our current facilities, we are unfortunately not yet able to offer boarding accommodation for girls.

That said, girls are always warmly welcome to take part in our individual training programs, school-based training, development programs, training camps, and holiday camps.
